Safety Precautions
We are very excited to get our dancers back into The Dance Centre for our 2022-2023 dance season. We have been working on some renovations in our new expanded dance home and working very hard on setting up systems to help us communicate with you, you with us, make payments easier, etc. We thank you for your great communication with us during our 2020-2022 years as we navigated through the covid challenges. To have another safe and happy year, we ask that all returning and new families review our Liability Waiver at Registration time and continue to communicate with us honestly throughout the year. Zoom access to class can be provided if we are notified by 3pm for afternoon/evening classes. If your dancer is sick or exposed, stay home. To reduce traffic in our hallway, we still ask that parents consider staying outside during class times. By working together, we can stay safe and have fun dancing together.
Registration & Waiver
Pre-registration is required- Register today! The quickest way is to register online- here's how:
- First you will submit your online registration form through our webpage.
- Within 48 hours you will be emailed an invoice from our PayPal account. Your child's dance classes will not be reserved until payment is received.
- Our liability/COVID/photo & video waiver needs to be completed and submitted before class participation. Download link is below. Have your dancer bring it in to us on their first class. We will have hard copies available at Walk-In Registration and in September, but to make the process easier and to minimize contact- please have your dancer bring it to class with them or submit it to us electronically.

Arriving & Dismissal
To limit the number of people in the building, we ask that parents drop off their dancer outside and remain in their cars or outside during class and pick up promptly after class. No parents will be allowed inside to wait during classes until we inform you otherwise*. We miss seeing you, but want to start our year off safely! Our instructors or our hallway coordinator will assist young dancers in ensuring arrival and dismissal is done safely.
**Parents of our Pre-Ballet dancers may wait in the hallway during the Pre-Ballet class. Additionally, it is okay to come in and help young dancers with their shoes if you feel they need it (especially if your dancer is new to us), but parents should wait outside for the duration of the class to reduce hallway traffic as we still get through covid.
Please have your dancer use the bathroom and wash hands before arriving. Hand sanitizer is available at each of our entryways in our dance rooms, upon entering the building, and at our “back desk” before entering the bathrooms. Dancers are welcome to bring and use their own personal hand sanitizers if they desire.
The entry door to the Dance Centre will be propped open, weather permitting. Dancers should not enter the building until 5 minutes before their class time. A teacher or hallway coordinator will welcome you in.

Class Routine
We will keep our markings in the hallway wall 6 feet apart to place belongings if needed. We ask that only dancers who live in the same household may share a marking in the hallway. We will also keep our distance markings at the barre inside of our dance studios until further notice.
Cleaning
Our schedule allows for time in between each class to disinfect high touch areas as needed, such as door handles and the barre. Our dance floors are cleaned regularly with covid disinfectant solution.
Considerations
We are constantly accessing our policies and will inform our families of any change of requirement as soon as possible.
For dancers wanting to dance with us but only want to participate in virtual classes or in-studio private/semi-private lessons- please just reach out to us.
Any other questions or concerns- please reach out to us directly. Call, email, Facebook message- we are happy to chat and make sure that your dancer can still experience the joy of dance during these unprecedented times.
Virtual options will be available if a dancer needs to stay home from class. Please contact us.
Should The Dance Centre become aware of any potential cases or contamination, all current students, teachers, and staff will be notified via email (that you submitted on our waiver) as soon as possible. Should an event like this occur and the situation has been accessed, we will take the necessary steps to close, disinfect, and clean our studio area as needed.
Should we need to at any time, or if we are directed to close our facility due to COVID- any affected classes will be offered outdoors or virtually until we can resume again. There are no refunds for classes that are required to move to the outdoor or virtual platform. (See our tuition policies for our 8-week commitment schedule.)
Parents~ please consider the symptoms of COVID, traveling history, and potential exposure before allowing your child to arrive each day.
